The Global Intelligence Files

On Monday February 27th, 2012, WikiLeaks began publishing The Global Intelligence Files, over five million e-mails from the Texas headquartered "global intelligence" company Stratfor. The e-mails date between July 2004 and late December 2011. They reveal the inner workings of a company that fronts as an intelligence publisher, but provides confidential intelligence services to large corporations, such as Bhopal's Dow Chemical Co., Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon and government agencies, including the US Department of Homeland Security, the US Marines and the US Defence Intelligence Agency. The emails show Stratfor's web of informers, pay-off structure, payment laundering techniques and psychological methods.

I believe that the visit in Russia is meant for the 'reset relations'
scheme. The visits in Finland and Moldova are meant to 'ballance' the
message towards the region (that's what the Americans usually do when
they have a high profile visit to Moscow: they usually go to Eastern
Europe, the Balts or Ukraine or Georgia... depending on the situation).
Honestly, I don't expect something important from the visit in Moldova -
it's a protocol and PR/image visit.

It's possible that Transnistria be discussed (considering the European
initiatives) but we'll not have a break-trough sit. It could be just a
Chinese drop... but this is also very optimistic.

If the Moldovans will take seriously all the messages referring to the
consolidation of non-comunists parties and promoting the reforms in all
fields, that would be the biggest achievement of the visit - on the
short term.

I'll meet a Biden's adviser after the visit and will let you know more.
