The Global Intelligence Files

On Monday February 27th, 2012, WikiLeaks began publishing The Global Intelligence Files, over five million e-mails from the Texas headquartered "global intelligence" company Stratfor. The e-mails date between July 2004 and late December 2011. They reveal the inner workings of a company that fronts as an intelligence publisher, but provides confidential intelligence services to large corporations, such as Bhopal's Dow Chemical Co., Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon and government agencies, including the US Department of Homeland Security, the US Marines and the US Defence Intelligence Agency. The emails show Stratfor's web of informers, pay-off structure, payment laundering techniques and psychological methods.

why did they want to protect him?
don't forget the french had a vendetta. the DST used their best
hunter, General Rondot, to hunt him. Catching him was a political
joker for interior minister of the time as Carlos has seeded terror
across france when M was in prison.
if you can talk to Rondot that will be a big thing as well.

On Carlos: There are few reasons why the Israeli*s never targeted
Carlos the Jackal. One of the reasons is that he was never a threat
to the Israeli national security or the *head* of any anti-Israelis
mission that he was accounted for. Many operations were blamed on
him because people didn't now who had committed them. Carlos was
addicted to alcohol and was drunk most of the day, hanging out and
not hiding from anyone. Mossad considered him a non-threat and
dismissed him as not worthy of their attention even though they knew
where he was living.

His locations were under surveillance and known at all times by the
French, Germans, Americans, Israelis and other Easter European
countries. Most of his *career* he was an *insider* for vary intel
agencies. As you well know he became an official spy for the Eastern
Germany regime in 1979. Since he was just a gangster, had no
religion, and fighting for the Palestinian cause was a good cover
for him, he sold the information he collected on Arab countries also
to Western intel agencies for good money.

The reason the French and the Americans decided to arrest him in 94
is to protect him. A coalition of Arab intel agencies led by the
Iraqis were on their way to assassin him on his way from Syria to
Czechoslovakia where he planned to go to retrieve funds. The plan
was to attack him in Budapest were he owned few safe homes.

More from the same source:

With Carlos protected in jail, the Israelis were asked by their
allies to go after Carlos* right hand, Bruno Breguet. The
Israelis knew Bruno very well since 1970 when he was arrested
in Israel by Mossad as a member of the *People*s Front* for
carrying illegal explosives. He was then convicted to 15 years
in prison but was released before the term agreeing to
collaborate with the Israelis. He disappeared in November 95
when he sailed from Switzerland to Italy.

From a Israeli intelligence contact:

Bruno was picked up by an Israeli navy commando and brought to a
friendly port in the Medditeranean. There he was picked up by a team
with two white vans to an unknown destination. The agents were
americans. There were rummors that he was taken to a CIA secret site and
he died during the interogation. I personally believe that he is living
under a new identity somewhere in South America.
